Ledgent Finance & Accounting - Sacramento, CA
We are partnering with a growing organization seeking a Staff Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with full-cycle accounting responsibilities.
Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain general ledger schedules and supporting documentation.
Perform AP/AR functions, including invoice entry, payment processing, and collections follow-up.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
Support financial statement preparation and internal reporting.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
Process expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
Analyze financial data and provide variance explanations.
Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
Support the Controller and accounting leadership with ad-hoc projects.
3+ years of accounting experience in a Staff Accountant or similar role.
Understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting processes.
Strong proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred).
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar).
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Status: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Full-time, onsite or hybrid (depending on client)
